May’s Word・・・”I am sorry” (Gomen nasai)
Our big carp streamers often times cannot swim in the air in the morning due to the lack of wind, but they start swimming slowly but surely from early afternoon. All of our kids thanked the garden after the harvest, now on to discover the roly poly (pill bugs), earthworms, and other bugs hiding in the garden. Our loquat tree, started from the dropped seed from our neighbor, has become a good sized tree and we have so many gorgeous loquats hanging between the branches. Our Sports Day is coming up very soon. Let’s have fun together!

・Feeling gratitude for our mothers as we make gifts for our mothers and celebrate Mother’s Day.
・Be aware of and appreciate all of the small animals, insects, vegetation, and flowers in our school yard.
・Get plenty of exercise and work together with family and friends so that we may have an enjoyable Undokai.
30th Anniversary Celebration
30th Anniversary Limited Tote Bags & T-shirt Sales
Thank you to those of you who purchased the tote bags and T-shirts. All T-shirts that were in stock have been distributed; however some colors and sizes that were not in stock will be distributed soon.
The 30th Anniversary Event for current students will be held on Saturday, August 19. We would like to ask for your cooperation in confirming your attendance for this event with your class mothers. We realize that you may not have finalized your summer plans, however it is necessary for us to get an idea of the attendance for this event, so that we may plan accordingly. We are planning many fun summer activities for this day and hope that you and your family consider celebrating our 30th Anniversary with us.
We are asking for donations for our 30th Anniversary Celebration (for current students and alumni) of refreshments (e.g. drinks, snacks), gift certificates (e.g. restaurants, services), or other special items for the raffle. If you are able to contribute, there is a sign-up sheet next to the attendance sheet where you can leave us your name, contact information, and items to be donated. Someone from the committee will contact you regarding the donation.
★★We are also accepting cash donations. For more information, please go to our website and click on the “30th Anniversary Reunion” tab. You can also find more current information on Facebook. Please follow us at “Kodomonoie LA”.★★
Mother’s Day is coming up and the children have been making “secret” gifts for their mothers that we hope you will enjoy.
