A recipe for Curried Butternut Squash Soup is featured only on Papas & Mamas online. It’s introduced by Natalie Matsuno (Sumire Class), editor of the English version. Scroll down to the bottom to find it.
From the Mochitsuki Committee:
The recorded turnout for the Mochitsuki celebration was 539 people
and the total donation was $985.31
. Thank you all the parents, families and friends for donations and volunteering.
From the Recycling Committee:
Profit for December and January was $39.69
From the T-shirt Committee:
Thank you for your orders. The proceeds of $426.34
have been given to the Parents’ Association.
From the Library Committee:
We will be replacing the plastic bags for returning library books and video tapes with reusable bags

We need men’s long-sleeved dress shirts
for Sakura Class to craft koinobori. If you have old shirts of any color or pattern, please give them to the principal.
Notice from the director
Due to the appreciation of the yen, Kinokuiya, Japanese book store, will increase its rate to import Japanese books. Because of this change, they will increase the price for monthly books from February.
The original price was $6.25 per book, and they will start charging $6.85 from February issue
