KNI Newsletter March 2014
1: From the KNI Bazaar Committee
2: Akira-san’s Cooking Demonstration
From the KNI Bazaar Committee
Bazaar Date: 3/8 (Sat) 11:00am – 2:00pm
This year, we will be adding some exciting new sections to the bazaar such as hand-made crafts (hair accessories, purses, hand-made soaps, etc.), bake sales, and Kids’ Corner (games, fake tattoos, etc.). Other featured items will include Sanrio merchandise (new) and various food items donated by local businesses.
We are now looking for volunteers for the day of the event, as well as crafts, food items, bake sale items, and some items to borrow for use during the event. Your help would be greatly appreciated, and we thank those who have already signed up. The donation period ends on Saturday, March 1, though, should you have any additional or large items to submit, please feel free to contact the committee at email@example.com. As we do not publicly advertise the event, you are more than welcome to invite your family and friends to come join us and enjoy the shopping. We look forward to seeing you!
Akira-san’s Cooking Demonstration
Date: 3/12 (Wed)
Place: Church Hall Kitchen
Time: 8:45am (Class & Tasting: 9:00 – 11:30am)
Thank you, to all those who signed up!
The cancellation deadline is 3/5 (Wed), and any opened seats will be given to those who are on the waiting list. There will be no refund for cancellations on or after 3/10 (Mon). You may choose to have a friend fill your cancelled spot. For cancellations, please contact Mai Noguchi (Liu) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
☆Scrips Sale Deadline Extended to 3/15 (Sat)!
The deadline has been extended due to the low volume of purchases. Though we know many of you are busy with the bazaar preparation, it would be great if you could take just a few minutes to look at the list to see if you are interested in any of them!
☆KNI School T-shirt Sale to Begin Soon!
The annual spring sale of school T-shirts with the KNI logo will begin soon, so you can enjoy the KNI Sports Day event in brand-new, colorful T-shirts. Other school goods will be on sale as well. Please be on the lookout for the form. It will be made available soon.
As mentioned in the fundraising email last month, the Recycle Center will no longer accept bottles and containers without the “CA Recycle” mark. As such, we will collect only the water or soda bottles that we know have the CA mark from now on. Your understanding and support is appreciated.
