From Christmas Event Committee
Our Christmas Event was held under such a beautiful weather on December 19th
. We really appreciate that we could decorate our Christmas tree with so many handmade gifts from all of you. We also would like to express gratitude to those who made donations and loaned their household goods including electric hot water pots.
From Mochi Pounding Festival Committee
Our annual long-awaited mochi festival will be held on this coming Sunday (10th, 1:00pm - 3:30pm)
. Thanks so much for your donations and signing-ups for the volunteer shifts. Please bring items for donation by Jan. 8
, if you have not done so yet (please make sure that you write your child’s class and your name). If you are signed up for the volunteer shifts on the mochi festival day, please pick up your volunteer budge and return it to the registration desk upon completion of your shift. Some kitchen helpers and dads who can help the set-up are still much needed!
Please check the volunteer sign-up board once again.
Some important notes
1. During the event, we generally ask you not to let your children have free play in the school yard, but if your children need to go in the yard, parents’ supervision is absolutely required.
2. Eating mochi in the school yard is prohibited.
3. The school bathroom is available for your use if the weather is fine and the church hall bathroom is available for your use if it rains.
Your support and cooperation are much appreciated so that we can end this event happily and safely.

The finished product will be distributed around late March or early April
Not only Kodomo no Ie preschoolers, their siblings’ or even parents’ artwork can participate in this fundraising activity. Your child original art work will be turned into a product you can treasure. It will also arrive as a nicely packaged product ready for gift giving that you will have many uses such as gifts to your relatives.
From Library Committee
Please read our library manual for checkout procedure, which is located near the attendance sheets. When returning the checked out materials, please put the books and other materials in a plastic bags provided with your check-out date, class, and your name on and put the bag in the gray plastic library book return box in front of the shoe box
. Please do not return the books in the bookshelf by yourself. We are thinking about gradually changing the library book return bags from disposable plastic bags to reusable bags. If you have extra reusable bags for donation, please put them in the library book return box. Your help will be much appreciated.
